Ilia Beauty Spring SPF Collection

Ilia Beauty Spring SPF Collection

I was introduced to Ilia beauty recently and was super impressed with not only the quality of the products and the fact it is an organic range but that it also comes in super sleek contemporary packaging, I admit I do like products to look good too, be it in my pro kit or on my own dressing table.

So, after trying some of the core products in the range, foundation, concealer and mascara and being really impressed with those I was really looking forward to seeing more.

I was also really excited to meet and listen to the founder, Sasha Plavsic, at the launch of the spring collection at Fenwick of Bond Street

Sasha has introduced a gorgeous collection including tinted lip conditioners and a beauty balm all containing SPF and myself and a group of bloggers and beauty press watched as she demoed the products and explained the properties of the products and what they contain. I liked the fact that she doesn’t compromise on quality and performance of the range and when no organic ingredient can be found synthetics are used however they are carefully sourced and in very small quantities. It’s also interesting to note that a lot of natural minerals are full of metals which are absorbed by the body so she doesn’t choose these ingredients based on the fact they are natural. What I also really like about Ilia is that it is very transparent about the ingredients used so there are no hidden surprises.

So onto the products!

There are five in this collection all packaged in sleek white packaging

Radiant Beauty balm SPF 20- All your gold £35

A gorgeous subtly infused beauty balm with pearl pigments of gold which diffuses light to create a really fresh smooth look, to the skin that also leaves skin feeling smooth and hydrated thanks to the hydrating properties of Aloe Vera and Coconut. It also infused with Rose Hip oil to help combat free radicals and a combination of rose petals and lavender flowers for their anti-inflammatory properties, a real treat for the skin. It also contains a high grade non-Nano zinc oxide SPF 20 providing a natural UVA and UVB protection.

This is great worn alone, under or mixed with your foundation.

Radiant Beauty Balm

Radiant Translucent powder Moondance SPF 20 £25

I love the packaging of this powder, it’s a portable brush and powder. The brush has an open, close and buff option and is refillable.

The powder is translucent with a natural SPF 20 with a hint of luminosity. Ultra-fine pearl pigments leave a radiant finish on the skin.

It contains a blend of organic powders, oils and extracts of Aloe, rosemary leaf, thyme and hibiscus flower to nourish the skin and provide protection from UVA and UVB rays.

Lip Conditioners with SPF 15 £22

The tinted lip conditioners are a beautiful build able colour with nourishing organic ingredients. There are two limited edition shades containing cocoa and she’s butters that help soften lips combined with a rich blend of antioxidant oils of organic avocado, sesame, cranberry and passionflower.

The two shades look stronger in the tube but are very sheer and soft when applied.

Bombora, a warm red is the top swatch, Kokomo, a soft mauve is the bottom swatch.

Tinted Lip conditioners

The clear lip conditioner, Balmy Ray’s is soothing, nourishing and hydrating and also a SPF 15 for protection.
